El Cid Resort is as much a destination as it is a hotel. Although it is large, bordering on imposing, El Cid offers every service and convenience you can think of, from deluxe rooms to ecotours. Both a hotel and a residential development, El Cid has three beachside buildings, private villas, and a 27-hole golf course on 360 hectares (889 acres). The main 17-story beachside tower, Castilla, was renovated in 1999; there's also the 28-story, all-suite El Moro Tower and the lower-rise, lower-priced Granada, near the golf course. Although room layouts vary, most are heavily detailed in marble and feature private balconies and contemporary, upscale furnishings. There are tons of extra services at El Cid as well, such as a program called Active Learning Vacations, encouraging more involved vacations and priced as special packages. There are opportunities to improve your golf, tennis, or sailing skills or indulge in a Fit for Life program through the on-site spa. Small boats are available, with departures every ten minutes, to take guests to nearby beaches. All-inclusive options are also available; ask for special deals. This resort has something for every type of traveler and is especially ideal when size matters.

Recreation

El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel has eight pools, including an infinity pool said to be Mexico’s largest. A 5,000-square-foot fitness center, climbing wall, and water sports equipment rentals also are available. Tennis, golf, and sailing lessons are offered. This Mazatlan resort can arrange a variety of recreational and sightseeing tours. Guests also may charter a boat at the El Cid Marina for sport fishing. Additionally, the resort has championship-level golf at the Anton Garcia and Lee Trevino Golf Course which features the Lee Trevino Nine.
